Surgical Hole After Skin Cancer Removal:
This hole occurred after removing a skin cancer from the lower part of the nose, referred to as the nasal dorsum.
Plastic Surgical Reconstruction by Dr Hussain:
As this patient had loose skin higher up the nose, I used this to my advantage and repaired the wound using an ‘advancement flap’. As you will see, I tried to conceal the scar along the right side of the nose. I also created multiple ‘zig zags’ horizontally across the nose as this has the advantage of concealing the scar better.
Long Term Result:
It was nice to see that the long term result is very pleasing indeed. The scar lines are very well hidden and will continue to improve over time.
